God does the best work in the wilderness season

    • Purpose in the Wilderness: The wilderness season is not a punishment or a sign of being forgotten; it is a space designed for refinement, preparation, and drawing closer to God.

    • Inner Transformation: God uses waiting seasons to build resilience, mature character, and align our desires with His plan before bringing us into the next phase or promise.

    • Embracing the Season: Instead of striving to rush out of a quiet season, Christian women are encouraged to embrace the present moment, trust God’s timing, and allow Him to work within them.

Losing a mom as a girl child

    • The Deep Impact of Maternal Loss: Losing a mother in childhood removes the primary cheerleader and protector who instills confidence and belief in a young girl's potential.

    • Grief & Unfulfilled Dreams: The emotional shock of loss can derail early career aspirations (such as pharmacy) and shift one's focus purely to survival and finding oneself.

    • Cultural Pressures & Lack of Support: Cultural expectations and insensitive comments from relatives often exacerbate the trauma rather than providing emotional counseling or therapy.

    • Taking on the Mother Role Early: Children who lose a parent often have to "mother" younger siblings before they have even had time or tools to process their own pain and mental health.

    • Healing in Singleness: Singleness provides a unique, opportune season to confront past baggage, seek professional help, and allow God to heal old wounds so you can show up as your best self.

The Health Scare That Forced Me to Pay Attention

The Health Scare That Forced Me to Pay Attention:

    • Listen to Your Body: Health issues will not disappear simply because we choose to ignore them. Paying attention to changes in your body is an act of self-care.

    • Prioritize Early Detection: Getting checked out by a medical professional brings true peace of mind and ensures that if treatment is ever needed, it can begin as early as possible.

    • Lean on Community: You don't have to carry health fears alone. Reach out to trusted friends who can pray with you, support you, and hold you accountable to make those necessary doctor's appointments.

    • Choose Peace Over Fear: Overcoming the spirit of fear allows us to move forward with factual clarity and confidence, knowing that God is in control of our story.

  • ASKING GOD THE RIGHT QUESTION IN WAITING SEASON

ASKING GOD THE RIGHT QUESTION IN WAITING SEASON

    • Shift in Perspective: Instead of asking God, "Why am I still waiting?", a more transformative question to ask is, "What are you doing in me while I wait?".

    • Character Development: Waiting seasons are designed to build essential character traits—such as patience, honor, submission, confidence, and respect—that prepare you both for your next season and for the Kingdom of God.

    • Personal Growth & Reconciliation: I talk about a personal story of how God used her waiting season to expose a character flaw in her relationship with her oldest brother. By learning to speak words of affirmation and honor to him instead of criticism, their relationship underwent a complete transformation, making him the sibling she is closest to today.

    • Preparation Over Passivity: Waiting is not meant to be a passive or aloof period; it is an opportunity for exponential personal and spiritual growth.

    • Resource: This book, 40th Centric (available on Amazon), which explores navigating life's waiting seasons with perspective and gratitude.

What does it really feel like to approach 40 as a single woman?

You can't compare yourself and your life with the way that other people's lives are because you have to give yourself some credit and give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Don't look at your stage as something like how the world is telling you it should be, because it's very much different in the way God sees it.

The "Scary" Parts of Being a Woman: My Health Journey

The fact that you can wake up every day and do the things that you could do yesterday doesn't mean you shouldn't do a health checkup. It's so important to do that once a year—go to your doctor. It's just better for you to have peace of mind and to catch things before they actually get blown out of proportion.

    Get Unstuck from Yourself

You cannot convince people to see you better than you see yourself because if you can't see it, you can't sell it. If you want people to have a high opinion of you, you have to first have a high opinion of you. Insecurity stinks and people can smell it on you
